Building Capacity for the Future of Richmond Baseball

Richmond Baseball Club has grown significantly in recent years. We now field multiple senior teams and are actively developing our youth pathway. However, our current field availability is limiting further expansion.

Field #3 represents the next major step in securing the long-term sustainability of the club.

Why We Need Field #3

• Increasing player numbers across all divisions

• Reduced access to existing fields due to seasonal overlap

• Limited training slots during peak months

• Ambition to field six competitive teams

• Development space required for youth baseball

Without additional field access, growth will slow and opportunities for new players will be restricted.

What This Project Will Involve

• Securing appropriate field space

• Agreement with landowners or council partners

• Infield preparation and levelling

• Base installation and pitching mound development

• Fencing, safety considerations and storage

• Ongoing maintenance planning

This project will be delivered in phases, with more detailed plans and timelines to follow.

Target Timeline

• 2026: Feasibility, permissions and agreements

• 2027: Field preparation and operational launch (subject to approvals)
